Poitín is a bar, restaurant and event space located in the Washington Avenue Arts District of Houston TX. Just as the city of Houston opens its doors to immigrants from around the world, Poitín welcomes all-comers. Here we celebrate Houston’s diversity and its inclusive spirit. Our food and drink menus are an embodiment of that diversity, with a modern Irish cocktail bar, a modern Southern kitchen, and global influence throughout. Only in Texas.

CREATIVITY AT THE FOREFRONT
THE TEAM
The Poitín team is comprised of what we like to call “the kaleidoscope of Houston”. Thank you for choosing to spend time with us. We appreciate you!”

THE WORD ON THE STREET....
"Tucker tapped rising star chef Dominick Lee — former sous chef at Kiran’s — as executive chef, and the menu at Poitín offers both globally-inspired small shared plates and entrees and large sharing dishes for diners seeking a heartier meal."

"I can’t say I’d ever previously longed to nosh in the shadow of downtown on the market fish, a whole fried red porgy—propped up on its belly and generously stuffed with papaya salad—even as a Southern Pacific freight train rumbled and squeaked past my table. But now I positively crave such exotic experiences, which is no small compliment to Poitín. "

"The rest of the menu is Lee showing off his worldly side. Influenced perhaps more than a little by former employer Kiran Verma’s spice repertoire needed to execute her elegant Indian fare, Lee is all over the map (literally). "
